I’ve received a handful of questions about whether or not AGK Photography is still in business. Yes! Yes! Yes! We just haven’t been posting very much in this busy season of family, grand-kiddo sports, work, creativity, growth, healing, and everyday life. But we are still working.
Most of our available calendar openings have been offered to those who were so patient and kind while I went through my medical leave last fall. I have wanted to make sure they get in first, alongside the last mini-session giveaway we had at Christmas, and anyone with pressing deadlines (i.e. maternity and newborn).
But we ARE making some changes.
1. Going forward, we will only be accepting family and children photo sessions*. Whether you are a family of 2 humans or 1 human and 9 doggos or 5 adult humans and 3 tiny humans, we want to work with you. We are no longer accepting senior portrait sessions (we CAN have a family session with some senior portraits included), branding and headshots, pets only, products only, etc.
I say family AND children, not because a family must have small children but because I can do sessions with JUST children in the photos, not the full family. Make sense?
2. In addition to only working with families, however that looks, I will be really focusing on more of the lifestyle and documentary side of portraits and video. I find my most joy there, so if I only have a limited amount of time to do this creative work, I want to make sure I’m truly doing that which brings me the most happiness. So, families in action, loving each other, playing, children exploring their world, etc.

3. The final big change is cost. I’ve always grappled with how much to charge. I have allowed others to tell me for years how much and all that jazz, but I have realized I want to make this accessible to as many as possible. I can’t do it for free (but I do have giveaways every so often), but I want it to be more affordable for families. I couldn’t afford photography back when mine were littles, so I want to make this more possible for more families.
I do not know what this looks like yet. I am working on it and thinking on it almost every day. Thinking, thinking…
I also want to be able to offer “scholarships” of sorts. I’m still working out what that looks like, too.

(All sessions will take place on location outdoors or within your home. If in doubt, please reach out!)
*If you have previously purchased or won a session, and you don’t feel it fits the new criteria, we will still honor the previous. This means, if you had intended that session for headshots or senior portraits, we will still honor that.
